Jacksonville, NC Maternity Photographer | Nikkie and Family

It’s always a pleasure being able to take pictures for my friends; so when I got to take pictures of my BEAUTIFUL bestie’s belly I was over the moon. She has the most adorable and funny family I’ve had in front of my lens. The sweet and goofy chemistry between her and her husband; Chris, was amazing. They were laughing back and forth, radiating a true love that Mr. Sparks would be jealous to write about. Her adorable daughter; E was cheesing her smiles. At one point I got into a growling contest with her to make her smile shine!

I got to try out my brand new white gown and as soon as Nikkie put it on, I knew it was the right choice for the session. Her beautiful red hair mixed with the purity of the white was perfect. The sun was golden in a beautiful field patch at one of my favorite local parks. The outfits they chose were spot on. Little E was in the most beautiful soft pink wrap dress and Chris was very rugged to match the location in a Red button up shirt and baseball cap. Each outfit complimented each other but also their own individual personality.

One of the poses I always try to get in my Maternity sessions are without the Mom. Which of course sounds just simply impossible. I’ve always felt like the Dad should get a spot light moment with the baby bump to look back on as their first photo with their new little one. It’s something I’ve always treasured as a part of each session. This one is simply perfect. So happy and content with such a loving gesture from the Mom; gently resting her hand on his shoulder, embracing them together.

Something new that I decided to try my hand at for Nikkie’s session was a floral crown custom designed for her; with a matching one for her big Princess; E. I decided to go with a purple instead of the pinks to compliment Nikkie’s hair color and pull in some whites and ivory and go for a very Mother Nature/Natural look. Both she and E did wonderfully.

Overall, I really feel like this was one of my favorite Maternity sessions to date. The energy and amazing family just made me remember why I love my job as much as I do. Just look at that picture, she is rocking the Nature Goddess look like a PRO. I cannot wait to see her new little girl in just a few short weeks. Hurry baby; the world is excited to meet you!
